HoundDogs sells almost anything and everything related to The University of Tennessee and its sports teams: clothing, jewelry and personal accessories for all ages; collectibles and novelties; home decor items (furniture, bedding, glassware, prints and decor accessories); toys and sports equipment; books and tapes; auto accessories; luggage; and much more. For the past 5 years HoundDogs has been the best place to shop for “Big Orange” stuff in the Knoxville area. We are now glad to be offering the best selection worldwide. HISTORY
HoundDogs was born in 1996 in the lobby of a printing company in Knoxville, owned by Wade and Debby Hughes. A small area was devoted to framed prints related to the University of Tennessee football. The success of this small venture prompted Wade (a die-hard UT fan) to add a few additional items. As the product selection and customers grew in number, it became obvious that more space was needed. The first HoundDogs store opened a few blocks away and was soon filled to the rafters with orange. A second store just off campus was opened in 1997, and the Johnson City HoundDogs (a franchise) opened in 1998. A fourth store debuted in nearby Pigeon Forge in 1999.
